The 2016 TVAA Track and Field Meet was held on Wednesday, May 11th at Susquenita High School. The annual meet is a great display of some of the most talented athletes in the TVAA. Millersburg’s Lucy Spicher was named the most valuable track athlete on the girls’ side of the meet after winning the 1,600 in 5:34.42, the 800 in 2:28.65 and running on the Indians’ victorious 1,600 relay. Fellow Indian Alex Schieb was named the boys' most valuable track athlete as he won the 1,600 and 800 meter runs, Scheib established a meet record in the 1,600 running a 4:32.76. He also placed second in the 3,200 meter run. Juniata's Alex White was named the boys' most valuable field athlete. White claimed the triple jump and high jump events, White broke the high jump record when he leaped 6' 3". Susquenita’s Amber Siegfried, who placed in the javelin (first), discus (second) and shot (fourth), was named the most valuable field athlete for the girls'.
